In 2000 Café Iz began as a neighborhood gathering place with a funky name and cool décor serving local and seasonal foods with the menu changing nightly. Its popularity grew and in 2002, Iz too was opened two doors down from the restaurant with a second café following in 2005. As the multifaceted company continued to grow, more room was needed to accommodate the growing business, known today as Everything Iz. Today, the Rocky Ridge location of Iz Café is located in the original Café Iz restaurant and continues to thrive serving chicken salad, made from scratch with Granny Smith's apples and walnuts, homemade pastries, like the four layer banana cake, and a different gourmet take home dinner, such as their chicken pot pie, nightly. Kay Bruno Reed grew up closely around the food business in a large family that enjoyed cooking and entertaining. Iz Café is an extension of her 1999 dream that continues to evolve. |
